Writing off losses.

Writing off your debts.

This idea struck me this week.

That how is it that we have this accounting treatment for losses we cannot get back, “write-offs” while running businesses and yet our hearts can be so tight-fisted in letting go of hurts from friends or people in our lives?

Do we have this principle in our lives?

I find myself stuck and unable to answer my own question.

It has always been a relentless back and forth process in letting go of those disappointments, betrayals, injustice, trauma – me feeling furious, me wanting to write them on sand and let the sea carry them away, to find them sprouting some mushrooms in my garden some time down the road again.

How do you fight unforgiveness? Or do you let them sink its roots in your life?

Would love to hear thoughts from this community 🙂
